LITERACY TIP
Some children love to sit and listen to books, and some find other activities more interesting. Help your students enjoy books by having them participate. In this storytime, children can sing along with the characters in A Soup Opera. When asked "What seems to be the problem here?" encourage your students to respond "I can't eat the soup!" Ask children to join
in saying a repeated phrase in other books you read together.

Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes by Eric Litwin
Bark, George by Jules Feiffer
Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Bill Martin Jr.
Bear Wants More by Karma Wilson
Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed by Eileen Christelow
